This lawn mower had a broken front axel and could not be used. Had to return it for a refund.

BOUGHT IN JUNE, BROKEN DRIVE SHAFT BY AUGUST. We have a small patch of grass that our driving mower cannot get to so we bought this mower. We mowed this area maybe once per week and suddenly the mower started shaking. We called TroyBilt and they sent me to the nearest service center that they cover for servicing the mower under warranty. Of course, a broken drive shaft is not covered under warranty so we went to pick the mower up and they couldn't find it and they waived the $15 assessment fee. I called Troybilt and they said "call the police or call your insurance company" and that they do not contact the place that they told me to go to. They also said "It's like calling Chevrolet if your corvette was stolen". Horrible customer service, horrible mower. So the consumer is out of a mower AND out of the money I paid for it.

I ordered a Self Propelled Troy Bilt #TB230B XP, and I was delivered a #TB120C which was not a Self Propelled mower. I hate buying stuff on line, but Tractor Supply did not have much in stock at my Yorktown, VA store. I was happy delivery was free to my home because I am a Preferred Plus Neighbor member. I come home from work and see before I get out of my car that they delivered the wrong one, so I call the local Tractor Supply Store and Debbie says there's nothing she can do to call the online Customer Care number. I called and was on the phone for 45 minutes with no answer. I look on line and it says I can return it to any Tractor Supply Co. Store, so I load it up and return it. The lady at the register says "good luck". Like is that what they are depending on is good luck. All around bad service. In order to be successful, you need to be accurate in your work!

Last year, another brand of mower died on me so I had to go out shopping for a new mower. It seemed like all the mowers on the market last year were front-wheel drive. So I decided to shop Tractor Supply as I figured I'd get a better piece of equipment from then as compared to their other local big box store competitors. I've been caring for my lawn for almost 30 years and this has to be one of the worst mowers I've ever purchased. It's advertised as self-propelled. But as soon as you hit even the slightest incline or slightly high grass, it becomes a push mower. The front wheels turn fine when elevated and I've turned the dial meant to improve the self propulsion of the front wheels. But this thing just doesn't have enough power for any type of incline. Within weeks of buying this mower, the safety flap on the back began falling off. So, I had to remove it completely. The discharge chute is constantly getting clogged no matter high or low and no matter how wet or dry the grass is. Recently though, its clogging has become a benefit. The chute itself has begun vibrating off as I mow so that the only thing holding it on is the clogged grass. The discharge chute for the bagger also tends to clog up leaving the bag only 1/4 - 1/2 full. Needless to say, this mower requires a lot of starting and stopping. It has likely doubled my time spent mowing and, given my yard size, that is quite a considerable amount of time lost.
