Barely passing push mower

For the price of the mower should cut way better and clogs easily even if slight moisture in grass. Basically can't cut unless mid day.

$1,700 Mistake

$1,700 MOWER. LESS THAN 6 MONTHS OLD. SAME FAILURE TWICE. If you are considering spending roughly $1,700 on this Toro 31-inch mower, particularly for a small lawn business, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. We haven’t even owned ours for six months and the SAME mechanism has already failed TWICE. And before Toro responds that ours is used “commercially,” here is what that actually means: every other week my husband mows the same seven tiny, cookie-cutter HOA lawns, approximately 200 to 500 square feet each. That is the workload this $1,700 mower apparently cannot handle. For comparison, our Honda push mower and John Deere riding mower are both more than FIVE YEARS OLD and are regularly used on properties of ONE TO TWO ACRES. Neither has given us anything remotely comparable to this Toro. The first failure left us without the mower for approximately 10 days. The second failure is the SAME mechanism, and this time the mower has been down for approximately THREE WEEKS during peak mowing season. We have spent $186 on repairs and another $75 renting a mower for just three days so my husband could continue servicing customers. We are STILL PAYING OFF the $1,700 Toro while spending additional money because it cannot perform the job we purchased it to do. The repair Toro is fighting over is less than $300. We have contacted Toro more than FIVE TIMES attempting to resolve this. Rather than stand behind a nearly new $1,700 product after the same mechanism failed twice, Toro has disputed warranty coverage and pointed fingers at the dealer. We were also told by a technician that this particular problem happens frequently with these products. Toro apparently believes the second failure occurring around 90 days after purchase changes its responsibility. As a consumer, I find that distinction ridiculous. This isn’t a five-year-old mower that finally needs a repair. THE SAME MECHANISM FAILED TWICE ON A MOWER THAT IS LESS THAN SIX MONTHS OLD. Our five-plus-year-old Honda and John Deere equipment routinely handles properties measured in ACRES. This $1,700 Toro couldn’t reliably handle seven tiny residential lawns every other week. We have now demanded a full refund from Toro, plus reimbursement of our repair and rental expenses. After two identical failures, approximately a month of combined downtime and more than five attempts to get Toro to resolve the problem, we have no interest in another temporary repair. The 31-inch deck sounds great on paper. The reason we purchased it was to cover more ground while maintaining the appearance and finish of a traditional push mower. That convenience means absolutely nothing when the mower is sitting broken while you’re paying to rent another one. If you’re a homeowner, I would seriously consider whether you want to spend $1,700 on a mower backed by this level of support. If you’re a small business owner whose income depends on your equipment actually working, I wouldn’t take the chance. Our Honda and John Deere earned our trust over more than five years. Toro managed to lose it in less than six months.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Toro TimeMaster 30

I like the width of the mower and the personal pace system-it's easy to use and maneuver for a big machine. With a 10hp engine; I envisioned it just ripping through thick grass, but it still bogs down in grass that really isn't very high, so I have to make several passes over some areas to properly mulch with out leaving clumps of grass. Pretty disappointed about it's cutting ability actually. May need to get some better after market blades and see if that helps.

No, I do not recommend this product.
