Have tried other bedding for my chickens, but this is by far the best. I love the smell of it and my chickens love it! They enjoy spreading it arround when I put a fresh bag or two in their coop and it lasts for a good while so long as you rake and turn it over regularly....no nasty smells! Provided your coop is well ventilated and not overcrowded.

This product is not good at all. It hasnt even lasted a week it packs down and smells TERRIBLE once soiled on. With pine shavings you can flip the bedding amd get better smell. This stuff also is constantly in the water bowls and diesnt absorb AT!! Waste if a TON of money

Works good as a mulch but is sprouting up a bunch of chutes everywhere I laid it. Had I known it had seeds in it I wouldn’t have used it everywhere. Will probably opt for another product next time but I still have a full bag unfortunately
