SIMPSON 3,300 PSI 2.4 GPM Gas Cold Water Premium Residential Pressure Washer, HONDA GCV200 with Axial Cam Pump

This machine doesn’t have the usual stuff most of us old guys expect. You put oil and gas in it, turn the switch on, and pull the starter rope. Started on the first pull. No choke, no throttle, no fuel shut off. So if it doesn’t start, what do you do?

Bought this on 5/28/2025, on 6/1/2025 I tried for 1.5 hours to get it started and it would not even act like it was going to start. I pulled the spark plug out and it had soot on the electrode like it had been running before but running rich, turned at a 35°angle on one side and gas ran out of the carb. Before I put gas in it I did smell the fuel tank and it had a gasoline smell to it like it had gas in it before. I use to work on motorcycles and cars for a living and I believe that it had fuel with ethanol in it before, was drained and the residue clogged some of the small ports in the carb. I will be taking the washer back after work tonight to get a refund. I have 1 day off a week and did not need to spend my day off fighting a washer that said easy start and is everything but.

Ran good the first time, second time motor seized and Simpson told me it’s not there problem, zero effort to make it right.

So far so good. Starts easy, very powerful, love it so far. Will see how it holds up. Engine runs smooth. One reason why I purchased it was of the Honda engine.

A similar unit was recently rented. Expectations were met or exceeded so I purchased this unit. Am happy with the unit's function, weight and mobility.

Works very well, so far. I'm not wild about the positioning of the hoses, though. Hoses drag the ground when moving the unit.

Rented a similar unit, like it and bought this one. Easy to use. Reasonable weight. Meets performance expectations. Disappointed it is discontinued.

I was hoping for this to be a great purchase.  I ran it the first time for about 20 minutes when I purchased in July, it had plenty of power for the job I was doing and worked great.  I used it for the second time about 2 weeks ago and the motor seized up about 5 minutes into use.  I looked for one specifically with a Honda engine because they are usually quality.  I called into the Simpson support and they gave me a local Honda authorized repair shop to take it to because it was a problem with the engine so I guess Honda warranties it directly.  I took it to the repair shop only to find out that they no longer work on these.  I called support again and they gave me a different authorized repair shop.  I took it to the second shop and they are telling me that Honda won't warranty the engine because they say it didn't have enough oil in it, even though I pulled the dipstick and verified with the technician that the oil was to the fill level on the dipstick.  I am sort of at a loss at this point.  I am just hoping I can get it repaired affordably or that either Simpson, TSC, or Honda will step up and support their products.  But currently I am left with a non-working power washer that cost almost $400, was purchased new just 4 months ago and has less than 1 hour of runtime on it.

Great pressure washer for the money. Starts easily, and has plenty of power to handle cleaning my driveway quickly and easily. I used an electric pressure washer for years, and finally decided to step up to a gas powered unit, and I’m really glad I did. The Honda engine was a big draw for me.

Gas tank holds less than quart of gas, otherwise has been great.

Used the product for first time today. Followed all instructions for adding the provided oil (and checked level before starting), added fresh gas and started right up. Ran beautifully for 15 minutes and then the engine just stopped on its own. Now it will not restart. Looks like I got a lemon? All Honda engines I own are remarkable so I was very surprised and disappointed.

This is an excellent pressure washer. I have educated myself on the proper way to use, maintain and store this instrument. I hope to have it for a very long time with only residential use.

Works great after filling with oil and gas started on first pull

Bought this for $349 on 9/26/2024, on sale.  Perfect timing. Easy out of box set up, used 3 times so far, no problems. Does everything I’ve asked so far. American made!! Great for around the house. Hate spending money, so wife grabbed this while I used men’s room at Tractor Supply. Glad she did, knew I wanted it. Two problems I have with it are the hose locations, as mentioned in previous reviews and no info on siphon hose. Otherwise I get excited using my new toy,thank you honey

Works great. I was surprised. It starts on the first or second pull every time. It works off of my well that produces 3.75 gallons per minute. Only issue I had with it is it didn't come with the green 25 degree wash tip, so I had to get one.

Horrible design.. both the water inlet and outlet are on the back of the unit. With hoses attached you can’t roll it around. The inlet and outlet will dig into ground when tilted back to roll it around. Gave two stars because the Honda engine is top notch.

Prior to 1st use, I made sure the oil tank was empty before adding the supplied packet. After 2 hours of use the oil turned black. I performed an oil change before 2nd use. Once again the oil turned black and was now burning to much oil. Approximate usage time 1 hour. Called manufacturer who indicated I had to contact a Honda dealer for warranty. First place I called, no one answers phone and mail box is full. The next place I had to leave a message. So far no return call. In the old days you would just be able to exchange a defective product for a new one. Not happy.

Excellent pressure washer starts first pull every time. Nice compact size makes it easy to store.

We have used this only a couple of times but very happy with the power washer.

First pull starts. Performs as specified. Good investment. Saves money over time.

Nice washer. I purchased as a gift for my son and helped set it up for first use. I have owned and operated other washers and this one is probably the best so far. Engine is smooth running and starts on first or second pull. Pressure hose is high quality and quite flexible. Standard nozzles perform well.

Works great, and the size makes it super easy to use and stow away. I love that it is powered by a Honda power plant, and hope to get years of trouble free service from it..

The water conection could have been but in a easer place to get to. Other than the very bottom of the machine.
