This product does not kill mature crabgrass or other existing weeds. It does not prevent dandelions, clover or most other broadleaf weeds. For best results to prevent crabgrass, apply in early spring before the 3rd or 4th mowing of the lawn. We recommend applying before temperatures reach 80°F (crabgrass starts to germinate once temps reach the 80's). Apply before dandelions reach the "puffball" stage.
