You will be on your way to a greener lawn with Scotts Lawn Pro Weed & Feed Control Plus Lawn Fertilizer*. It controls over 50 common lawn weeds including dandelions, clover, chickweed, ground ivy, lambsquarter, morningglory, mustard, purslane, ragweed, sow thistle, and others as listed. At the same time, this Scotts weed control feeds your lawn for a thicker, greener turf. You'll start to see results just days after applying, as weed stems and leaves will begin to twist and curl. (Tough weeds may take up to a month for complete control.) Use on bahia, bermuda, bluegrass, centipede, fescue, ryegrass, or zoysia lawns. The application of these yard care granules is easy: simply use a Scotts broadcast, rotary, or drop spreader to apply when weeds are actively growing, the wind is calm, and the grass is moist. One 43.89-lb. bag covers up to 15,000 sq. ft. (*not available in Florida)

Q&As

1 - 10 of 10 Questions

Q: Do I need to mow the lawn before applying?

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! You should not mow your lawn right before applying Scotts Lawn Pro Weed and Feed because the weeds need tall, broad leaves to catch and absorb the weed-killing granules. It is best to avoid mowing for two to three days before your application, and then wait another two to three days after spreading it before you cut the grass again. This timeline gives the product plenty of time to stick to the weeds and travel all the way down to destroy the roots!

1 Answer
  • A: No, you should not use Scotts Lawn Pro Weed and Feed right now. Both products contain herbicides and high-nitrogen fertilizer; applying them too close together can chemically burn your grass or exceed legal safety limits for the weed-killing ingredients.

Q: How far should I stay away from our well, which is my homes primary(only) source of water?

1 Answer
  • A: To protect your drinking water, you should maintain a minimum safety buffer of 50 to 100 feet between your wellhead and the area where you apply Scotts Lawn Pro Weed and Feed. Because this product contains active herbicides (2,4-D and MCPP-p), it poses a higher risk of leaching into groundwater compared to standard grass seed.

Poor service

Product is good but the delivery was not good- they put the manufacturing bag inside a dark TSC bag and shrink wrapped it for shipping- problem being the manufacturers bag had a hole it and the fertilizer was all over the inside the TSC bag - what a mess. My take is they knew there was a hole in the bag as it was obvious but they didn’t care and just want to get rid of it I’m sure I didn’t get a full bag - lesson learned.
