I never leave reviews, but this thing is the biggest piece of crap going hung it up next day. It was on the ground the string had broke, so I re-tied it thinking maybe it was loose next day. It was on the ground. This time it was busted in the corner so I used a wire. Next door was on the ground. The whole thing is busted up had to throw it in the dumpster I literally had it a week and I even put half the birdseed in it thinking it’s just too heavy. It’s just garbage that’s too much money to spend on something that doesn’t work.

It has a cloth cord to hang it by, which was sawed in two by the movement of the feeder. Being almost full of seeds when the cord broke, the feeder broke into pieces upon hitting the ground.

Not sure if a squirrel chewed the rope or if the friction from the lid caused it to fray; however it fell to the ground and broke into pieces. The product itself is a great feeder, just make sure you switch out the rope with a wire hanger.

Within 48 hours I experienced the same frayed hanging string. I will return it for another and then immediately replace the string on the new one. The plastic/nylon string they used isn't sturdy.
