Q&As

1 - 9 of 9 Questions

Q: How do I stabilize plexiglass my birds are getting stuck inside

1 Answer
  • A: To stabilize the plexiglass panels in your RW Bird Feeder Snack Shack and prevent birds from getting stuck, you can use mechanical wedges or bird-safe sealants to close the gaps where birds are wedging themselves. Birds typically get trapped when panels shift or are loose, creating a space they mistake for an opening or getting their heads/wings caught in gaps

Q: Does the seed portion have drain holes???

1 Answer
  • A: This Item does not have drain holes as the base is Cedar and that would damage the base long term. However, the plexiglass is easy to pull out and clean between fillings, making the item easy to clean and helps prevent moisture in the seed.

Eastern red Cedarburg

I like that it’s constructed of eastern red cedar. The burgers in my neighborhood do not seem interested in suet so I will not refill that. Plus, it is nasty to handle because the blocks are made out of tallow.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Actual Junk

I bought this feeder for my daughter about 2 weeks ago. I cannot express how excited she was to get it. Well, it's junk--actual junk. One of the suet cages (if you can call them that) fell off within the week. It was held on by two small, narrow crown staples. I repaired that easily enough. Then, yesterday, the hanging wire gave way and the feeder fell to the ground. The whole thing is held together with about about 6 cheap staples. It didn't survive the fall--and it was mostly empty. TSC should be ashamed to sell this junk for $22.

No, I do not recommend this product.

After 3 weeks the floor began to show mold or mildew. It's not a durable product for humid and rainy weather.

No, I do not recommend this product.
