2 years ago- A: Hi, Thanks for reaching out. Here is the information we received back from our vendor- "No, none of our pumps are designed for moving fuel."2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can it be used as a hydrostatic test pump? Or is it basically centrifugal?
3 years ago- A: Hi! No. Our gas driven pumps are designed for the application that we market them under (transfer pumps), and none of them have been tested for, or certified for use as hydrostatic test pumps.3 years agoHelpful?

Q: Can I pump asphalt sealer with a 3 lb per gallon sand load mixed in for about 6 hours a day in summer weather?

Q: I have a weird that is around 32 ft deep. Would this draw water up that high? I was planning on watering a garden with it. The garden sits downhill approx 60 ft away.
6 years ago- A: Thanks for choosing Red Lion. Is the surface of the water at 32 feet? I ask because the water would need to be less than 20 feet horizontally from the pump intake. The distance from the pump to the garden is fine as it is a downhill run. Please call me at 888-885-9254 if you want to discuss this application further.6 years agoHelpful?

Q: What is the psi (pressure) on this pump on the outlet? Looking to use it for grass fires. Thanks
8 years ago- A: Thank you for your question regarding Red Lion Engine powered transfer pumps. These pumps are designed as water transfer pumps. They should not be used in firefighting applications. The max flow is 150GPM and 39 PSI. Please contact our tech support team at 888-956-0000 if you have additional questions.8 years agoHelpful?
Q: What height will this pump lift to and how far. Looking at drawing lake water 1500-2000 feet uphill an additional 20 foot elevation?
9 years ago- A: Thank you for your question regarding the Red Lion Engine Drive pump. Unfortunately the simple answer to your question is no. This pump will not draw water that distance due to friction loss in the pipe. Anytime your suction pipe is longer than 100’ you should compare the effort of increased pipe size to moving the pump closer to the water source. Having a suction pipe that exceeds 300’ just isn’t practical. The benefit of having a gas engine pump is you are bringing your power source with you making it easier to move the pump closer to water and let the pump push the water up 20’ through 2000’ of pipe. These pumps have a much easier time pushing water rather than pulling. I hope this has answered your question. Please call our product support team at 888-956-0000 if you have any additional questions or need help with your set up.9 years agoHelpful?
