Rated 3 out of 5 by from On the fence I bought this last year to do water based seal coat and didn’t last a season before it started to leak in between pump and motor. I did not see in directions were it could not be used for seal coat. Apparently it can not. As far as running, don’t think you can ask for a easier motor to start. It always ran well. I would recommend for pumping water but not anything else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Motor seized at 50 hrs Worked great just didn't last long. It is under warranty, but will be requesting money back

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine Value We are about to go buy our third of these. Turn the gas off and let it run out every time is a procedure we use and it pays off with really good starts.

Could I use this to water some trees I've planted along a creek a mile from the house. I would be drawing water from the crekk to do this. If this would work, what hoses would I need.

Asked by: 2283
This should work. I will need some more information about your trees and location before I could recommend hoses. Please call me at Red Lion Product support. 888-956-0000. Thanks!

Will this be able to pump sandy, mucky, pond sludge up a few feet and out about 20 feet?

Asked by: Deltoid
Thank you for your question regarding Red Lion Engine Powered pumps. A slurry of particles suspended in water will pass through with the water. However, when there are enough particles to make that water into a mud or sludge the flow will stop because the pump won’t be able to move it. If you have additional questions please call our tech support at 888-956-0000.

Is I have1600’ of 1” ads plastic pipe will this pump work to pump water through 1600’up 40’ in elevation?

Asked by: Kbplaza
Thank you for your question regarding Red Lion Engine Powered Transfer Pumps. The answer to your question is that yes it can do it but the flow would be very low, likely less than 5gpm with very little pressure. Please call me if you have additional questions or if you want to review your set up with me to get the most performance out of your pump. 888-956-0000.

I will be hooking this up to a 300 gallon tank when burning ditches Can this be used with a nozel to shut of the flow of water out of pump or does it have to be free flowing

Asked by: Ld96
Thank you for your question. Shutting off the flow momentarily won’t cause an issue but for longer periods it would be best to allow the water to continue flowing even at a slow rate like a gallon per minute. If you have any additional questions please contact our tech support team at 888-956-0000.

I bought one of the red lion 1.5 inch pumps and am thinking of going up in hp to this model...could I still use my 1.5 hose? And can I suck up black sand with this?

Asked by: Ajwright
Thank you for your question regarding Red Lion Engine powered transfer pumps. If you change to the 6RLAG-2LST you can continue to use the smaller hose on the discharge. A 2" suction hose should be used on the suction side. Black sand is ok as long as you stick with a semi trash unit. The 6RLAG-2LST is for semi trash.
