The Champion Power Equipment 100742 2-inch Semi-Trash Gas-Powered Water Transfer Pump with Hose and Wheel Kit comes with everything you need to start pumping (just add oil and gas). Capable of passing solid waste up to 1/2 of an inch in diameter, this transfer pump is the perfect solution for moving water quickly and efficiently. Whether you are draining or refilling your swimming pool, removing water from your basement or draining shallow flooded areas, this unit features a self-priming design that holds prime even when it's not running (requires initial priming to operate). This lightweight and portable transfer pump has a maximum delivery volume of up to 158 gallons per minute and is capable of passing solid waste up to 1/2 inch in diameter. With a 2-inch NPT inlet outlet, this unit has a total head of 92 feet and a suction head of 26 feet. Q: What would I need to use this as an emergency fire hose pump drawing water from my pool in case of a brush fire?

- A: We don't have instructions ourselves, but we do know people use these types of pumps for purposes like this. Usually they are two and three-inch water pumps, but this works on the same principles which means it should also throw water a good distance with the proper attachments. We don't have a list of what you need to buy as this is not our intended application, however, there are plenty of DIY websites and YouTube videos that cover what is required to do this with the pump. Usually there is a step down in size from 2" to 1" for example with a firehose attachment on the end of the hose. Thank you.5 years agoHelpful?

The assembly was super easy and in no time I was able to put it on my dock ready to pump lake water to run my sprinklers as a forest fire was in the area and I wanted to be prepared. It fired right up and was super easy to prime.

Very happy with the performance of this Champion pump. I put 30 hours on it over the course of a week to fill my pond from a creek. I bought a longer suction hose to combine with the included hose. I ran a 2 inch discharge hose 175 feet to get the water where I needed it. The pump had no issues sucking or pushing the water that far. Always started on first or second pull. Included wheel kit is a $45 option with comparable pumps. I did my research and couldn’t be more pleased with this workhorse of a pump.
