Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ramik bars I put a bar in my shed 2 weeks ago and the same 4 rats have been eating it for 2 weeks. It says kills rats on the box but I'm starting to think its rat food. I dont think this stuff works. I should have bought traps instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good choice! Placed it in 3 bait stations. One was consumed quickly each tim the bait was replaced. The other two not so much action. Must depend on rat population differences between locations. I continue to keep the bait in all 3 stations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked within five days on a smart rat I had a rat in my basement and he chewed into my house. I tried everything. The old fashioned Victor traps, the easy set traps, live traps and glue traps. I set up a game camera to see what he was up to and he would not touch any of those. I didn't want to poison or glue him, but I was getting desperate and the chewing into my house was the last straw. I put two big handfuls of this in a rubber feed tub I had for my chickens I did this every night in the basement near where his dropping were and where I had seen him running around on the camera. He took every piece for 3 nights. He looked extremely happy and healthy doing it too. I was worried I was just feeding him. The 4th night he took none. The 5th night I found him dead by the rubber tub. I will keep this on hand and keep some out to avoid problems in the future.

Is there a secondary poisoning for this product. I would bait my crawlspace which my dogs can't get to, but was curious if there was a secondary poisoning with this product?

    Asked by: jphelps747
There is a low risk of secondary poisoning when using any First Generation Rodenticide- Ramik falls under this class since its active ingredient is Diphacinone. You would be reducing the potential for this by using the product in a crawl space (using a solid wall or floor space to separate the bait from the non-target animal). In addition to this, please dispose of all deceased rodents so that the dog cannot consume them. Always keep the original packaging from the bait, in the event there was an exposure your veterinarian will be able to gather necessary information from the packaging.

I have 1 rat that has eaten over 25 of these pellets and continues every night to eat more. How long will it take to kill this 1 rat???

    Asked by: kpony
Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 10 days or until there no longer are signs of new feeding by rats. Death may occur as early as 4-5 days after a lethal dose is consumed.
