Although most rodents share a similarly highly developed sense of smell, there is no substantiated proof of efficacy. Many customers have reported success using EarthKind rodent repellents to repel other rodents and pests such as voles, squirrels or chipmunks, but the results have not been tested or proven. A: Hello Huggy Bear. Once you remove the pouch from the box, remove the cellophane wrapper and place the pouch just like it is. Don't open, cut it, or remove the cardboard header. When the pouch no longer has a scent, we recommend that you dispose of it. Once the oils dry up, the corn cob then becomes a food source so we do not recommend spreading it around outside. A: Yes, Fresh Cab is a popular choice for use in cars, motorhomes, farm and recreational vehicles. To use Fresh Cab in your Automobile: Place 1 pouch in the trunk, 1 in the passenger compartment and 1 under the hood when in storage (please be sure to remove pouch from under hood before operating vehicle). Our products are in fact deterrents and not repellants as mentioned below. Fresh Cab will in-fact make the mouse find his way back out via his scent trail as they don't have control over their bodily functions. Fresh Cab and Stay Away Rodent, as measured under the USDA Bio preferred program, are 98% bio-based content. The fragrance oil is a multi-component mixture of fragrance ingredients that conforms to the 48th Amendment of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) guidelines. The IFRA guidelines for the safe use of fragrance ingredients are based on an evaluation by independent experts of all toxicological and dermatological data relating to ingredient concentrations and exposure. The specific chemical identities of the ingredients are considered by our supplier to be trade secrets and withheld under the provisions of 1910.1200 of Title 29 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. EarthKind cannot, with certainty, provide a definitive answer specifically related to synthetic ingredients based on the 2% non-bio-based content, but can with certainty stand behind the safety of the ingredients used. A: Hello, thank you for your question. Per the vendor, "Fresh Cab has only been tested on mice and rats. We can't say if it will keep the groundhogs out as we haven't tested on them."
