The pouches are made from botanical ingredients that produce a smell that’s offensive to rodents but not to humans. We do just suggest keeping the pouches out of the chickens' reach. If there is air flow, we also suggest keeping your eye on the pouches, as you may need to replace them a little more often due to the air flow drying out the essential oils a little quicker than usual. Once the oils dry out and the scent is diminished, you would need to discard the old ones and replace with new ones. The pouches are fast-acting and will help keep mice out of the chicken coop.
