Is this the same product that comes in the 9lb bucket (Tomcat all weather bait chunks)

Asked by: CNY123
Yes - they are the exact same product, just in 2 different sizes. Tractor Supply also carries an 18lb size in most locations.

Does this product also eliminate the smell of 'unfound' varmints , ? , They are in the 'walls' where we can't get at them , , ,

Asked by: Wild Flower
Unfortunately all animals will emit an unpleasant odor as they decompose after they die - there aren't any rodenticides or other products that eliminate the smell. Rodents will often return to their nest and die, rather than remaining in the walls, but if you have a concern we would recommend using bait outdoors inside a bait station, and then a glue board or mouse trap indoors to ensure that the rodents have been caught and can be disposed of.

How safe is it for my dogs (German Shepards) Some of my friends have lost their pets because of some brands of poison. Once again, is this brand safe !!! I don't want to loose one of my best friends !!!!!

Asked by: Gary 71
Tomcat All Weather Bait Chunx should not be used in areas that are accessible to pets, unless they are secured properly inside a bait station. Bait Stations are mandatory for any outdoor, above ground use where bait could be accessed by pets or other wildlife. If you are interested in a product that is safe for use around pets, I would recommend purchasing a Tier 1 Bait Station, which is available in both a disposable and refillable option. Tier 1 Bait Stations have been tested with dogs and meet the EPA's highest criteria for safety. The text on the pail provides full details on the safety of all of our Rodent Control products and instructions for proper use.

Will this kill skunks?

Asked by: Sardine57
This product is toxic to most animals, however no testing has been done to confirm whether it will definitively kill skunks and the product label (which is regulated by federal law) does not allow baiting for any animals other than rats, mice, or the other listed rodent species.

is this product effective against chipmunks?

Asked by: OldGuy46
This product has not been tested on chipmunks and the label specifically allows baiting only for specific species of rats & mice, as well as meadow voles. We can't verify that the bait would be effective and would not recommend using it to kill chipmunks. Generally the most effective control would be large snap traps or live traps.
