Item Information

Purina 6% Phosphorus Cattle Mineral provides your cattle balanced mineral nutrition year-round that they need for health and reproduction. Purina 6% Phosphorus Cattle Mineral is the convenient choice for what your cattle need.

  • Well-balanced mineral program
  • Nutrient levels to help maximize cattle performance
  • Perfected at our LongView Animal Nutrition Center, because we share your passion for better cattle
Give Your Cows a Balanced Mineral Program: Proper levels of key minerals can help optimize cattle performance. In fact, we recommend a year-round mineral program to help ensure your cows get the nutrients they need when they need them. Purina 6% Phosphorus Cattle Mineral provides you with a balanced mineral program that can be fed year-round.

Provides What Nature Sometimes Can't: Phosphorous deficiencies are common in native pastures and harvested forages. And that can mean reduced overall productivity in all types of cattle. Purina 6% Phosphorous Cattle Mineral has the optimal ratio of minerals to help enhance performance and productivity.

Keep Your Mineral Protected: Mineral is too important to allow wet or windy weather conditions to waste them. Ensure your mineral feeder is accessible to your cows, but is also protected from inclement weather conditions.

Is this product as good as wind and rain mineral if I have good feeders that will protect it from the weather

Asked by: Rlm78
According to the Vendor: "The Purina Cattle Mineral will have a 6% phosphorus level. As long as it is being fed along with good quality forages, the cattle will do fine. The Wind & Rain Minerals will contain a higher phosphorus and have the technology to withstand the elements better. Let us know if you have any additional questions."

Can this product be used for dairy cows?

Thanks for your inquiry. This is not formulated for a high producing dairy cows. They will have different mineral requirements and you should feed them a mineral/feed that is specifically formulated for their nutrient requirements.

Can this be given to the horses, and non dairy cows becaue they are not separated. If not what do you recommended to aid in the reproduction process.

Asked by: MrMoo
Thanks for your inquiry and for choosing Purina. You cannot feed this product to horses. It is labeled for cattle only. The horses should be fed a specific mineral to meet their nutrient requirements. We suggest the Free Balance 12:12 for horses.

Thanks for your inquiry. We make many of our minerals both with and without the Altosid (IGR). You will need to check the tag stitched into the bottom of the bag to confirm if you have a product with the insect growth regulator inclusion.

Can this product be used for deer beings in has minerals and di-cal in it. Would it be safe

Asked by: TIM117
We cannot suggest off label feeding of our products. This should not intentionally be fed to deer. Please use one of our Purina AntlerMax or Antler Advantage products to supplement feed deer in confinement or free range. If the TSC store is unable to order the mineral, you may need to go to an independent Purina dealer.

Can it be given to goats

Asked by: Talmedge23
No, you will not want to feed goats a cattle mineral product. Only let goats have access to a mineral or product that has them listed on the feeding directions with amounts to feed per day.
