Heifer Development and Stocker Cattle: After weaning, feed along with unlimited quantities of forage. Feeding rates vary according to quality of forage and desired gain: on lush forage feed 0.25% to 0.50% body weight; on transitional forage feed 0.75% to 1.0% body weight and on mature forage feed 1.0% to 1.5% body weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wouldn't be without Stocker Grower I use this for all my calves when weaning. It also works wonders to distract a just-calved cow when I need to intervene with the calf for feeding, etc. Always have it on hand during calving season.
Date published: 2019-01-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use it for goats Great feed. I give it to my goats and they are all fat and slick

how long will this product last if i buy a pallet being its on sale?

Asked by: summer2203
Thanks for contacting Purina. Please check the production date code ink stamped along the bottom strip of the bag. It will begin with a 7 for this year, or a 6 for 2016. Then, you will have 3 letters for the month and 2 numbers for the day. If the product is on sale, you will want to be certain to check the date prior to purchase. We do not list expiration time frames as it is dependent on storage of the product after it leaves the manufacturing plant. Typically, we suggest to use this cattle product within 9 months of the date code stamp.

Can I feed this product all the way to butcher of my steer of do i need to switch products if so at about what weight or age?

Asked by: Carol79
The Stocker/Grower may be fed through the butcher date. As the animal gets close to slaughter weight, some will add 5 lbs. of corn for the last 30 days to increase calories and quality grade.

How many 50 lb bags should be mixed per ton of cracked corn?

Asked by: Sepp55774
This product is not designed to be mixed with corn. Our recommendation is to feed the product according to labeled instructions. This is not a complete feed, so access to forage/hay is recommended, along with good clean water.
