1 Answer
  • A: To extend the lifespan of SKU#2448044 - Producer's Pride Hill Country Coop, the manufacturer recommends following the 3 points below: 1. Use the tarp (suggested size: 80.7 × 50 inches / 205 × 127 cm) to cover the wooden coop, reducing the impact of extreme weather conditions (such as strong sunlight or rainstorms) on the wood. 2. Once fully assembled, avoid moving the coop frequently to maintain overall stability and the integrity of the connections between parts. 3. Q: Can it hold quell

1 Answer
  • A: The Producer's Pride Hill Country Coop can hold quail, but you must modify the wire enclosure first.Because quail are much smaller than chickens, they can easily squeeze through standard 1-inch chicken wire or fencing. Standard adult Coturnix quail can slip right through standard welded wire, and smaller breeds will escape even faster.

Producer's Pride Hill Country Chicken Coop, 6 Chic

I purchased for my 2 small hens. This coop is very well built and my husband put it together very easily. The material is not flimsy like most of the prefab coops.

Great build quality, heavy duty, easy to assemble

Really liked the stregth of the metal construction. The coop is super sturdy and I think it should hold up to it's "critter proof" sales pitch. Though likely will need gravel/rock around perimeter to prevent digging predators. It took me and my dad less than an hour to put together. Whole thing was put together with just a screwdriver, with a drill for some steps that had self tapping screws. We will see how the PVC components hold up to the elements.

New Coop Love the color choices

This caught my eye a few weeks ago and then it went on sale for 40% of. Easy to put together I’m 60 and my husband only had to help with the roof which you need a drill. We are using it for 6 chickens but don’t need the attached run since the are free range. Quality built nots like the plywood one I have. Thanks

Yes, I recommend this product.

Arrived rusted

The coop itself is ok. However the box was given to us completely wet. There are plenty of pieces that arrived already rusted.

No, I do not recommend this product.
