We have four chickens and overall, we’ve been really happy with this coop. We paid $699 for ours, and I believe the regular price is around $999. For $699 especially, I think we got A LOT for the money. One of the biggest selling points for me was having a full height run that you can actually stand up and walk around in. I looked at plenty of other options in this price range where that wasn’t the case. I think some of the negative reviews also come down to expectations. This is not a $3,000 custom built coop and run, so I wouldn’t expect it to perform like one. If you live somewhere with Oklahoma winds, heavy snow, serious predator pressure, or other extreme conditions, you should plan and reinforce for those conditions regardless of which prefab coop you buy. I don’t really consider that a flaw with the coop. For the price, it’s a really nice setup and, honestly, one of my favorite things about it is how customizable it is. My biggest advice is to think about the changes you might want to make BEFORE putting everything together. Unless you’re like me and get excited, put it together, and then think of 47 things you want to change. 😂 We’ve already made several modifications and still have a few more planned. My favorite change by far was replacing the acrylic window with chicken wire and adding shutters. It gives the coop significantly more ventilation, but we can still adjust the shutters depending on the weather and block wind at roost level when needed. I also eventually want to add an automatic chicken door, but I’m actually in no hurry. I enjoy going out to open and close the coop myself, and honestly, I think my girls enjoy the interaction too. We also added extra predator protection when we installed it. We dug the coop/run area down about two inches and set it into the ground. We then added wire around the perimeter that extends farther underground and skirts outward. Predator proofing is another area where I think you have to consider your own property and what predators you have rather than expecting any prefab coop to account for every possible situation. As far as size, we have four chickens and I think it’s a great size for them. I personally would not put more than six in this setup without expanding the run. The actual coop itself is fine, it’s the run space that I would consider the limiting factor as you add more chickens. Even with four, I’m a believer that if you have the ability to give them more space, they’re going to use it. One of our acrylic windows did arrive broken. I contacted the company and they sent us the ENTIRE replacement wall within two days. I’ve seen reviews lowering the rating because something arrived damaged, but these are mass produced products being shipped in very large boxes. Things can happen during shipping. What matters to me is what the company does about it, and they made ours right immediately. I really couldn’t ask for better customer service. We still have more little upgrades we want to make, but that’s honestly become part of the fun. This gave us a really good base that we could customize specifically for our chickens, our property, and how we wanted to use it. For four girls, especially for the $699 we paid, I’m extremely happy with it. Having a full height run that I can actually stand and walk around in is a huge plus. And apparently modifying a chicken coop is now one of my hobbies. 😂

Purchased this and have had it a few months I love that there is a big door in the front I placed my polish grow outs in this coop and I can not complain it meets there needs and safety. built very well roof was a chore to put on but 2 people can easily put it together I will be purchasing one more soon I also love the extra roosting bars plenty of room I also took out the window and added wire for extra ventilation over all the coop looks nice and is functional everyone who sees it asks where I got it

Love they go together so well. Beautiful and match our house for our flock of 14 chickens.

What I like: * Good size for a small flock — On the ground, I’d say it comfortably accommodates about 2 large ducks and 3 Call Ducks, but I wouldn’t recommend putting more ducks in it. * Good ventilation — It has plenty of airflow, which is important for ducks. * Cute/attractive design — It looks nice and is much more aesthetically pleasing than many basic duck houses. * Separate area — I really like that it has a separation area from the main run. That gives you flexibility for introducing a duck, separating an injured duck, or temporarily housing one. Things to know before buying: * Texas heat is an issue — Although it’s well ventilated, it doesn’t stay particularly cool. In Texas summers, you’ll need to think about additional shade/cooling. * Not predator/critter proof — I wouldn’t consider it secure enough straight out of the box. You’ll need to add additional protection depending on what predators and critters are around your property. * Needs level ground — This is a big one. If the ground isn’t level, the structure can shift enough that the doors don’t close properly. * Flooring isn’t ideal for a duck house — The flooring appears to be particle board, so repeated washing causes it to absorb water and swell. That’s probably my biggest construction complaint because ducks are, well… ducks. 😂 A duck house needs to tolerate moisture. Putting it together took 1/2 a day with no issues.
