This Permatex 3 oz. High-Temp RTV Silicone is formulated for oxygen sensor-equipped engines. This high-temperature RTV silicone resists auto and shop fluids and has an intermittent temperature range of -65 to 650 deg. Fahrenheit (-54 to 343 deg. Celsius). Use this RTV silicone for a variety of automobile applications, including valve covers, oil pans, timing covers, water pumps and thermostat housings.

  • Permatex RTV silicone is designed for oxygen sensor equipped engines
  • Resists auto and shop fluids for greater durability
  • Suggested automobile applications for the RTV silicone: Valve covers, oil pans, timing covers, water pumps and thermostat housings
  • Oxygen sensor engine silicone volume: 3 oz. tube
  • Directions: For the best results, clean and dry all surfaces with a residue-free solvent, such as Permatex Brake Cleaner; cut the nozzle to your desired bead size and apply a continuous, even bead of silicone to one surface, surrounding all bolt holes
  • Please note: This gasket maker RTV silicone is not recommended for use on head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline
  • Due to warranty issues, technology changes (sensors and more) and aluminum components; part number 27BR can be replaced with ultra copper part number 81878 for optimal sealing performance
