This Permatex Pipe Joint Compound is a black, viscous, brush-able liquid sealant and lubricant designed to help assemble and seal threaded joints on water, steam, oil, and fuel lines. The temperature range of this water pipe joint compound is -65 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (-54 to 204 degrees Celsius). Durable, the fuel pipe joint compound is also resistant to common shop fluids.

The black, viscous, brush-able liquid sealant and lubricant is formulated to assemble and seal threaded joints on fuel, oil, steam, and water lines

Features sealing pressures to 5000 PSI (100 PSI for steam)

Suggested applications for automobiles include: thread fittings and plumbing applications
Suggested marine applications include: thread fittings and plumbing applications
Steam pipe joint compound volume: 16 oz. bottle
Directions: On pipe joints, apply to the male thread, brushing the compound well into the root of the thread. Assemble in the usual manner. On flanges and gaskets, apply a thin coat to each surface. Let it set for five minutes and bolt together. Keep the can tightly closed when not in use.
