The Ouachita thornless blackberry vine features an upright habitat with double blossoms and semi erect canes that bears the fruit of medium size. Fruit is firm and sweet. The full crop fruiting season will begin to ripen in June and the berries appear in early spring. This blackberry cultivar is disease resistant and heat tolerant making it an ideal choice for warmer climates in the south. The fruit storage and handling potential make this berry plant a great choice for home gardeners. - The Ouachita Blackberry vine is self-pollinating and prefers full sun and loamy, well-drained soil. Its fruit is deliciously large, sweet berries with black skin, and a firm texture. It requires around 400 chill hours.
- Harvest these berries in mid-June this summer fruit producer can keep producing for 5 weeks after that. The fruiting extends through the late summer growing season. Giving you more time to enjoy this delicious fruit!
