Meet the Pirtle Nursery Tulip Popular Tree. The Tulip Popular is a fast-growing magnificent shade tree for open areas with large tulip-shaped leaves. In the spring, fragrant yellow-green cupped flowers appear high in the tree, with the green leaves turning yellow in the fall. The flowers attract hummingbirds and all types of wildlife like to call this shade tree home. The Tulip Popular Tree is resistant to disease and pests, making it a very low maintenance.

- A: Excellent question. Trees can be planted in the summer but they require more interactions to become established due to the heat with watering requirements higher. We recommend planting in the fall as temperatures start to cool down or in the spring before temperatures rise. Watering your plant after planting is crucial until it becomes established. I planted the tree a few days ago, hopefully it will continue to grow! Tree looked ok when received some wilting looking leaves but hopefully watering and sunshine will help.

I found this tree online, and tractor supply had the best price. Shipped to store for free in a well packed box in about 2 days. Was about 5 feet tall and starting to bud.
