Q: Does this have ash tray or how to clean

A: Thank you for your PelPro question and interest in our product! The PelPro's do not have an ash tray. It collects in the firepot which you would then vacuum out with an ash vac when cool. Beautiful and very powerful cast-iron pellet stove

Purchased this beautiful cast-iron stove end November and installed it last weekend. Installing was pretty easy and simple for a person who never installed a pellet stove before. This stove is very easy to use. As it recommends to have it running on high for the very first time for 30+ minutes with open windows - yes, please do so as it truly has paint smell coming from it. Second time around the smell was completely gone. Really love the digital feature to control the temperature. As indicated, the stove heats a house up to 2200 sq ft. We do have an open plan two story house and with upstairs doors open it truly heats up the entire house with its two strong blowers which are surprisingly on the quiet side - comparing to the wall/zone heaters, which are very loud. Yes, I highly recommend this beautiful and powerful stove!!!!!! Best purchase we have made for a very long time!!!!

Product sold with company knowing defect.

We bought this stove a couple months ago and have had problems ever since. Once the stove gets up to temperature instead of going on standby, it read fuel feed alarm and needs to be reset. We have to get up a couple times a night to reset it, every time we come home the house is cold because the stove has shut off. We have called costumer service many times and they are useless. They admit that it's a know problem but have not tried to help. They gave us two options, one they said to adjust the trim- which didn't work, the stove still shut off and then the flame was way too big. The second option was for us to go purchase an external thermostat. We choose this stove model specifically for the automatic thermostat, which doesn't work at all. It's ridiculous for us to have to go buy something to try in the brand new stove we just spent a lot of money on.

Great look and performed flawless.

After my research on pellet stoves under $3500, I settled on this stove. Used it to heat our shop while we lived in it while building our house. 40x60x16 shop with 1” of spray foam insulation. Stove performed fantastic in my opinion. On nights it would get down to 20° outside, the inside of shop would be 63-65° with stove running on high. Only had to supplement with propane fireplace on winter storms when temp would get to near 0° and 30mph north winds. Found the Lignetics wood pellets performed the best but it would burn several different pellet brands pretty well. The Lignetics are more expensive but I could turn the trim level to the lowest setting so it uses less pellets. They burned more efficiently. The cast iron build also looks great too. This stove was basically our only heat source used all winter and it performed flawlessly.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Terrible experience

I wish I had the same luck as others but this stove has been a nightmare. Three months after I purchased it in November of 2022 it needed its first auger motor replaced. Made it through the rest of that heating season (22-23). Along comes next winter and it needs another auger motor just after the warranty expired and then the motherboard popped and towards the end another auger motor was replaced (23-24). Next season required the control panel to be replaced, very expnsive, but it finished the year. Finally this season, 25-26, It has required two auger motors.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello Mike. We're sorry to hear that you are experiencing these issues with your stove. For the feed motor to go out that often is not normal. A few things that may cause this is frequent auger jams, electrical issues, or aftermarket feed motors (such as ones purchased from Amazon). We would appreciate an opportunity to help you figure out why this may be happening so that we can avoid it in the future. Please call our Consumer Support at (877) 427-3316 and let them know that you are calling in regard to a review. HHT

Not worth the time to transport it to your house

We bought this stove about 2 years ago. We may have been able to use it collectively 6 months. I am on TSC now looking to buy a new stove and thought I’d drop a review for this one. The circuit board fried I think 3 times and we replaced it and now we think the auger motor is out. We bought it, tried to keep it working and gave up. Now we need backup heat so we are looking for a different product because this one is so unreliable it is just a decoration in our house.

No, I do not recommend this product.
