Ducklings

I ordered 10 ducks from tractor supply app. On Sunday I received an email stating ducks have shipped and I assumed they would be sent over night or at most 2 day. On Thursday late morning I received a phone call from my local post office stating ducks are here when can you pick them up upon arrival about 1 hour later post master stated one of them didn’t make it. 15 minute drive home 2 more had died and the following day 3 more died. I had called the hatchery directly and he showed no sympathy and transferred me to another branch which to this day has yet to call me back. I had then reached out to Tractor Supply Corporate and the woman was very sympathetic but all that she could do is refund me for the 6 ducks that didn’t make it. Currently 3 out of the four remaining ducks are doing great and the third isn’t able to walk properly seems to be a birth defect.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We received our ducks from the post office early in the morning. One appeared to have struggled during shipping and died within a couple of hours. It was a little smaller than the rest. We contacted customer support and were sent to the local store for a replacement. Happy, happy customers! The ducks are about to out grow their area. We have had them 11 days.

Pekin Duck Purchase

The ducks we purchased arrived but the tracking never updated so I wasn’t sure if they were shipping on time. I eventually got a call from the post office to pick up and headed over. Two ducks were dead upon arrive (normal), so I took the remainder of the 10 I purchased home and got them into the brooder. Within two hours, 6 of the 10 were gone. I ended up finding a poultry farm an hour away to purchase more from and all are thriving and well. At $10 a duck, shipping methods should be reconsidered. Shipping stress is real but a 60% fatality rate is not the norm. We haven’t used TS before when purchasing poultry and will avoid doing so in the future.

Ducklings were in the mail too long

Picked up the ducklings from post office the same morning that I wad notified they had arrived. 1 duckling was dead in the box. Was an 11 minute drive to get them home. 3 more died within 2 hours of getting them home. Out of 10 ducklings I now have 6. The remaining are doing well. I believe they were in the mail for too long.
