Nest Box Pads from Pecking Order are made in the USA from Great Lakes Aspen excelsior wood fibers adhered to a kraft paper backing that provide an easier way to maintain a clean nest box. The excelsior fibers allow wet droppings to settle down and away from the hen and her eggs. Freshly laid eggs remain on top, not buried, so eggs are easier to gather. The 13" x 13" pads fit inside most chicken nest boxes but can be fluffed or compressed to adjust to nest boxes of various dimensions. Cleaning the next box is faster and easier than with pine shavings, straw, or sand. Simply remove the soiled pad and replace with a fresh, clean excelsior nest pad. Quantity: 10 Note: Pads are compressed and thickness varies. For best results, fluff the pad by racking the excelsior fibers with your fingers before placing inside the nest box.
