I like most everything about the cart except I use it on the back of my 4 wheeler to haul hunting gear along some rocky terrain which causes it to tip over on it's side so I modified it. Bought two new tires and replaced the axle so now I have a dually!

I bought this dump cart last year to move about 35 yards of topsoil. That's quite a bit of soil, and I averaged 10-12 cf per load. The trailer can definitely take a load, but there are three issues I can find with the cart. 1. It doesn't dump well. With a typical box you can dump, pull forward a little and your're empty. Kind of an essential feature of a dump cart. With this cart, about 1/3 to 1/2 of the material is stuck in the cart, held by the shape of the rear "lip". Which means, you're shoveling it out. Not a big deal with mulch or leaves, but it gets pretty old with loads of soil, gravel, or larger rock. It also has a weird fulcrum point that makes heavy loads (like soil, sand, or gravel) an effort to dump. 2. It is really, really tall. I'm 6'1", and I think it's a long lift throwing shovelful after shovelful of soil into this jacked up cart. 3. The pivot idea is pretty cool, but really I don't find myself using it often, and the tongue is REALLY thin metal. At some point I see myself making a sturdier platform for this, along with a linear actuator.
