Item Information

This Professional Grade Lawn Sweeper features an industry leading super capacity 26 cu. ft. heavy-duty collector bag and an extra wide 50 in. sweeping path allowing you to get your lawn care done faster than ever. Exclusive patented spiral brush sweeps more efficiently than standard sweepers and puts less stress on gears for longer life. No-slip positive lock height adjustment will not vibrate out of position and has easy to remember height settings. Hopper easily empties by pulling rope from the seat of your tractor. Just reverse to debris or compost area, pull the rope and you're done. Extra wide 9 in. chute is less likely to clog, especially when sweeping damp grass clippings that clump together. 3-position hitch adjustment allows for efficient level operation with any tractor hitch height without the use of easy to lose spacer rings. For over 50 years Ohio Steel has manufactured high-quality, innovative tractor and ATV attachments that help get the job done faster and with less effort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good sweeper The box it came in was pretty beat up and one of the flat washers was missing (I had a substitute on hand). Took a bit longer to assemble than I thought it would, but some of that was due to the search for all the scattered and missing parts. The other issue was the lack of markings on the larger parts. Once it was assembled, it has seemed to work very well. I have 5+ acres and this is a pretty good sweeper to get grass clippings and leaves. I would recommend this sweeper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great, but... I bought this model last summer to replace a smaller one, same brand. The newer one is a great sweeper, as was the previous one, but yesterday, the tire came off one of the wheels. I do use this at least once a week to sweep around 2 acres, but I'm disappointed that the tire/wheel structure didn't last longer. I need some help to figure how to fix the situation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs some modifications Purchase this 5026V2 from Tractor Supply about 18 months ago. I use it to sweep about 2 acres, over all works ok but could use some modifications to a couple of ares such as the height adjustment knob it fell of about a week after starting to us it probably needed some lock tight applied at the factory. The bar where the dump rope is attached could use some bracing of some kind because when the hopper gets full it sometime is heavier than the bar can handle and you need to get off the tractor to assist In emptying the hopper. Last thing is the bushing for the wheels wear out very fast because of the friction of the steel shaft to the bushing, I would put a brass sleeve over the steel for the plastic bushing to ride on to reduce the friction. Maybe both bushing and sleeve should be brass and have a lubrication point. It does not take very long for steel to become abrasive from moisture and distort the plastic. I have call and requested replacement parts for at least the bushing but have not gotten a firm response yet. Customer service is key to any complaints to maintain good relation and long lasting customers base. Thanks David Thomas

Will this pick up pine cones?

Asked by: Hannahhya
Yes, as long as the pine cones are not water-logged making them too heavy to sweep. Also it may not pick up the pine cones if they are buried too far into long grass.

What's the difference between the 50SWP26 and the 5026V2 ?

Asked by: Broder
The 5026V2 is a newly updated version of the 50SWP26. The 5026V2 has a hitch that can be offset to mow and sweep at the same time. It also has the height adjustment located on the side of the sweeper so that you can see the brush while you are adjusting it. The height adjustment also now has numbered height settings and is easier to adjust.

What is the gearing made of...plastic or metal?

Asked by: FiveSinks
The pinion gear on our sweeper is powdered metal (steel) and the gear that it meshes with on the wheel is fiberglass reinforced nylon that is designed to work with a steel pinion. This configuration is the industry standard and is tested extensively to ensure a quality product.

Does this product pick up pine straw/needles?

Asked by: bookie428
Yes. This sweeper does an excellent job picking up pine needles. If the layer of needles is thick it will take multiple passes, but it is still a very efficient collection method compared to alternatives.

Can you disengage the sweeper roller. In other words can you pull the sweeper without it sweeping. I will be emptying grass clipings 300 yds from where I will store the sweeper.

Asked by: slaw
This lawn sweeper disengages only while rolling in reverse, which is also true of every lawn sweeper on the market. There is no way to disengage the sweeper while being pulled.
