- A: Howdy neighbor! The Norwesco Septic Tank Manhole Extension cannot be cut down because removing any section will permanently destroy the factory molded connections required to seal the lid and tank. To connect it securely to a concrete tank, you will need to seat the riser flange onto a thick ring of butyl mastic tape and mechanically anchor it directly to the concrete surface using stainless steel masonry screws.a month agoHelpful?
