- A: Depends on how high you have it turned up. I also don’t know how you define “loud”. You can talk over it but you certainly can hear it. Also it takes a special plug you have to get from an electrical supply house.5 years agoHelpful?

It works like it should it gets hot yes all the people that are buying it and then asking if it plugs into a wall outlet come on now it says on the box that it is a 240v

Great heater for a 2 Stall residential garage.

I live in Northern Indiana. I have a 2 Stall (25x25) insulated residential car garage. I wanted an electric heater instead of propane or kerosene because of the fumes and natural gas because I didn't want to vent it and run both electric and gas to operate it. I looked at tractor supply and local box stores but couldn't find anything on the shelf that was portable that I could set on a work bench. I googled electric box garage heaters and a advertisement for Newair came up. I ordered the G56 (5600 watt) heater and it shipped from California to Elkhart Indiana in 5 days via FedEx. I have only used it twice in the garage so I can was my truck during the winter months. I am extremely happy with how it works. I would definitely buy this again. It heats up my garage pretty quick and shuts off depending on where I set the heat setting. It's not loud, just the sound of the blower motor.

Does what it is supposed to do.

Does what it is suppose to do. Heats well. Good blower. Would have given 5 stars but was noisier than I expected. Not that bad but I wouldn't want to try and sleep or watch TV next to it.
