Q: what size spray tip after reduction
2 years ago1 Answer
- A: We sent your inquiry to our manufacturer, and this was their response: "Not sure if this inquiry is regarding airless or conventional spray equipment. In any case, our standard spray application recommendations for T & I Enamels are as follows: For airless spray use a .013" to .019" orifice with 1,850 psi at tip. For conventional spray use Graco 700 Gun 217 757 equipment or equivalent, with fluid pressure of 20 lbs. and atomizing pressure of 35-40 lbs."2 years agoHelpful?
Q: what is best to thin this paint...acetone or mineral spirits,,what is mix ratio,,,
4 years ago1 Answer
- A: Majic Tractor, Truck & Implement Enamels are very tough, and durable, high solids oil/alkyd coatings. Reduction, for spray, is recommended at 8:1 with Majic Reducer, #8-0750 (8 parts Majic Enamel to 1 part Majic Reducer). Majic Reducer is a proprietary blend of “exempt” solvents that blend perfectly with Majic Tractor & Implement products, and adds 0 VOC to the host products to remain VOC compliant. Reduction for a brush & roll application is not required, but reducing at a rate of approximately 5-10% may aid in better “flow & leveling” of the applied film. When applying Majic T&I NH Red, be sure to follow package directions carefully, with special attention to the recommended applied thickness (2.5 mils wet) and the allowable recoat times (24 hours minimum). Too heavy an application, and/or re-coating too soon may result in a film that won’t dry “hard” for several days…or longer.4 years agoHelpful?

Bought New Holland Red to refinish an old caboose. If allowed the right time to dry, it gets super hard. A great paint
