Q: What's wrong is when u attach this to ur tank the tank itself also has a watery valve that regulates the amount of gas released so when u turn the tank valve on do so slowly ?

1 Answer
  • A: What you’re describing is normal and not an issue with the product. Both the gas tank and the KH825-03 include valves that work together to control gas flow. The tank’s main valve releases pressurized gas, while the KH825-03 regulator helps manage and maintain a consistent output. Because of this, it’s important to open the tank valve slowly. Opening the tank valve too quickly can cause a sudden surge of pressure into the regulator, which may lead to inconsistent flow or give the impression that something is not working correctly.

Q: What's wrong with these things? I have returned one twice. They won't stay lit and won't have no pressure. Says something about you have to turn the propane bottle off to bleed off the pressure. I've done it dozens of times. Might work one out of 10 tries

  • A: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience . We’re sorry for the frustration you’ve had with this torch. That’s certainly not the performance we expect, especially after multiple attempts and returns. Consistent ignition and proper pressure are critical, and it’s clear this hasn’t been working as intended for you despite following the recommended bleeding procedure. We’d encourage you to contact our customer support team directly so we can help troubleshoot the issue or determine the best next step, including replacement or refund options. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope we can help make this right.

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, the Lincoln Electric Inferno Propane Torch can connect to a standard 5-gallon propane tank. It is designed to work with larger tanks for extended use, as long as you use the appropriate hose and regulator included or recommended for the torch. Always ensure connections are secure and follow all safety guidelines when attaching to a propane source.

Q: Do I need to attach a regulator to the propane tank

1 Answer
  • A: No, the Lincoln Electric Inferno Propane Torch Kit does not require an additional regulator because it comes with a built-in excess flow safety valve and a brass valve for flame adjustments, which handle the necessary pressure regulation.

    Don't Buy This One!

I have a lot of respect for Lincoln Electric welding equipment. But this weed burner is a piece of crap. I assumed that the burner would have a pilot light to keep it lit between activations of the blast lever. Nope! The second you release the lever, the gas flow shuts off. So now you have to fiddle with the blast lever while trying to light the flame with a striker. Lincoln Electric should stick with welding equipment and not sell crap like this. This thing is actually dangerous to use, in my opinion. Also the hose is very weak and flimsy and won't take much dragging on the ground.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. This torch is designed so the flame shuts off when the trigger is released for safety, rather than using a pilot light. We also take your concerns about the hose and usability seriously and will share them with our product team for review.

A torch so safe that you can’t use it!

Followed instructions exactly including proper lighting procedure so as not to engage safety valve auto-shut off. Never worked. Worthless.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. That’s certainly not the performance we expect.

Please ensure the propane cylinder is fully secured and that you’re using a compatible, properly filled tank. If you’ve already followed all setup and lighting instructions and the torch still isn’t functioning, we’d like to help troubleshoot further or explore a replacement.

    Lincoln a top name

First for any that say the flame is weak it is human error. If you turn your barbeque tank valve on too quickly the safety valve inside your tank will restrict the flow thinking there is a leak. Turn your valve on very slowly. If the safety valve has enacted you can reset it by turning the valve off. Then SLOWLY turn the valve on. Great torch at a great price. Lincoln is the maker of professional welding machines and torches and so much more. It is at the top of the list for professional tradesmen, professional welding shops and industry.

Does what it’s meant to do

This thing worked like a charm for me for hours. Then my husband tried. He went through 3 propane tanks, thinking they must be empty (they absolutely weren’t). It would light for him, but wouldn’t put out any flame capable of lighting more than a cigarette. Turns out it was because he cranked all the valves wide open and laid on the safety lever immediately, triggering a valve designed to regulate flow. Once we reset the valve and opened each valve reasonably, it was back to working like a charm. If it’s not working for you, it’s probably user error.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
