Sputter and excessive glare

got a Hobart 140, and I've bought a couple rolls of this now - and I'm done with it. The sputter is so excessive that welds are flat out ugly - not to mention inadequate. Also, the glare from the burn is so excessive that I can hardly see the puddle. I switched brands of wire - and the problems stopped. Immediately.
