- A: Lmfao warren of course it melts its welding, anyway yes its good wire for up to a quarter inch steel and thinner stuff and yes just dont blow through and if you do its ok just take your time and build it back up or use a filler rod to help and yes it will melt anytime you weld thats the whole point5 years agoHelpful?

Hobart flux core wire

The Hobart is a very good welding wire i used to get the lower brand but for a couple dollars more the Hobart really works well not much splatter it great for tack weld great for body work.. With the cheaper wire i couldn't get a good patch welded into a body panel, but with the Hobart it made the job much easier.
