- A: Try lighting with butane turned really low. Also, after filling, allow butane time to settle down to ambient temperature. When filling it gets really cold and will not light. If none of this works, be sure you are getting spark by looking in the end as you strike. Don’t hold it close to your face when doing this because Murphy’s law says that it will light and burn your eyelashes off!5 years agoHelpful?

Exactly what I needed!
I bought this butane torch to use specifically with my art, which is paint pouring. I had purchased a smaller one which worked fine, but the flame never go bigger. The Mr. Torch was very affordable, easy to use and the flame adjustment is perfect for me. Only 4 out of 5 stars because I wish I could see the butane level vs. waiting for it to not work and when I fill it (which is very easy) you can't tell when it's full until the butane starts spitting out. Besides that, I love it and hope that it lasts a long time!

Do not buy

This torch stopped working the third time I used it. I refilled it and still nothing. And I have already thrown away the packaging, so I can’t even request a refund. So disappointed.

Great torch

This little torch is awesome. The negative reviews are from people that either have no common sense. Or can not follow directions.

Poor packaging info

It should specify that there is no fuel in it on the packaging. We made an additional trip just for the butane.
