I can't get the tape to hang out 13', probably closer to 10'. I never knew every other tape measure was missing the pointer finger tape grip(it is a game changer). You won't know it till you have it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very solid tape measure. I like the fractional markings on the tape easy to read and for most people also faster to read. The tape works great out to about 9 ft before wanting to fold. The finger stop under the tape is to me the best feature of the tape i never tend to lock the tape down and the finger stop works perfect everytime. Feels like a quality tape, Dewalt didn't skimp on the quality on this one.

Don't let the smaller size fool you, 13 ft max reach isn't a joke. The Atomic series will reach peak length every time making working solo not so laborious. Let's talk finger brake. Sounds like a gimmick but it's not. Using gloves, check, using fingerless gloves, check, bare skin, check, and it doesn't rub your digits raw. It gives you incredible control over the blade, allowing for smoother and more precise measurements without the blade snapping back unexpectedly. The retraction is smooth and you feel in control of the speed. The wide 1-1/8-inch blade is sturdy, with a protective coating that holds up well against wear and tear, (So far) Before you get upset at the lazy fractional blade graphics, keep in mind that when you are in a hurry, quick measurements are easier to read fractions without squinting or double guessing.
