Unfortunately, this fell apart within one week. It is really a one time use type of item and will not last for more than one group of chicks.

LOVE IT

Love it, I use it with a puppy pad like shown in one of the other pictures. I bought this at my local store and I love that it was easy to put together and it was wooden, I read somewhere where it said plastic mine wasn't it was wood like the other pictures. I used it for my chicks I got in march and they stayed there until now when they were ready to go out with my big girls. I love that it comes apart and can be used next time I get chicks. It was a great purchase.

It’s cheap pressed wood that soaks up any moisture from water bowls spilling or soiling, even when I put rubber mat down first. The size is very small. Check dimensions.

Easy Assembly, Durable, but Too Short

Easy assembly. Too short for 2-week old rhode island red and isa browns. Auracanas aren't flying out of it yet. The New Hampshire is will likely escape it in another week. I had to put the 2 rhode islands and 2 isa browns into an 18" high cardboard box I had on hand to prevent escape. Cardboard works.fine if it is lined with puppy pee pads before adding the pine shavings.
