Q: Can this spreader spread dry chicken manure fertilizer

    1 Answer
    • A: : Due to the irregular shape of chicken manure fertilizer and the spinning disc (spreader plate) underneath, the manure may not pass through properly. Therefore, the vendor does not recommend this option.

    mixed feelings

This looks to be a great spreader - better tires and capacity than cheap scott's spreaders. But it has two major flaws: 1. It's difficult to manage the flow rate of product with three openings - either too much or next to zero. 2. The gearbox from wheel to spreader often loses contact an it stops spinning. Then once it catches up, you have way too much product and it drops all at once, burning the lawn at that spot. See attached image with lawn burn caused by this issue.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Bad quality

Horribly made product. It would only spread out small insect killer if it was wide open, and then it would spread out too fast. It also would only spread out to one side, and would constantly have to shake it to get it un jammed. Very hard to push, and unsteady. The feed rate adjustment is very cheap made, and not precise. Would definitely recommend you spend your money on a good spreader instead of wasting your money on this piece of junk.

    50lb groundWork spreader

spreader was poorly assembled, rear stand was bent and out of line. Considering the air inflated tires it was still difficult to push. Feed mechanism was not accurate and difficult to operate. Would not recommend.

Hard to believe something so bad can be made

I didnt find a Zero Star so I give it 1. I dont know if driving 20 miles again to return this thing, or go to the store to put a warning sign for people not to buy this crap.handle bend, gears get stuck and stop spreading, back leg bends, the rotary tray got stuck. Only works fine when you have 10% of the 50lbs bag remaining. We end up spreading 6 of the 8 bags of fertilizers by hand and scrap this thing.

No, I do not recommend this product.
