We took our rock-solid G0514X 19 in. Heavy-duty Extreme Series Bandsaw, added a few more features and came up with a new line of ultimate 19 in. Bandsaws. This saw features an lightning-fast electronic motor brake, a cast iron table trunnion, rack and pinion table tilt control with extra table support, and an innovative resaw fence. The electronic motor brake stops the blade in approximately 3 seconds-all with the simple push of a switch. Now that's fast and easy.

Serious Machine

This thing is a beast. I found it easy to work with during assembly. It cuts really well. You can tell the cast iron trunnion helps the machine maintain stability during cuts. We use it for wood, composites, and aluminum. Makes short work of all of those materials. Definitely the value option amongst "pro" grade tools, but that's where I exist, so it is perfect for us.

Good saw, needs refinements

I like the saw but it could use a few refinements. I use big carbide blades for resawing. The hinge on the bottom door is in the way making blade changes a little more difficult twisting heavier blades to get in the back slot.
The table insert sets a few thousands below the table surface so resawing causes the wood to catch and hang up sliding it through. I will try and shim the insert up 0.0020” to see if that helps.
I like the electrical brake but when you activate it then it will stay activated and must be deactivated by turning the key off or unplugging it, otherwise it will remain activated until you go to use it again.
Otherwise it’s nice having a good saw.

Great saw that is well built at a great price!

I bought this saw for a non traditional use. I needed a 16" saw or larger that was 2hp or more with a blade speed of 3500fpm for occasional cutting small aluminum tabs off of aluminum castings after the castings are machined. I didn't want to spend the money on a large expensive industrial saw since it see's very little use, but I still wanted a good heavy duty saw that would hold up for some time. I think the extreme series saw fit this bill perfectly. It was a 3" larger machine than I needed and had a more powerful motor than i needed, and I liked that it had blade guide wheels instead of blocks. This saw has been cutting cast aluminum tabs that are around 1/2" thick x 1-1/2" long like butter with a proper carbide aluminum cutting blade form Starrett. I like that it has a motor brake as well, to help make it a little more safe. I like this saw so much that I want to go out and buy one for my wood shop at home too.

not happy

nothing but problems. the drive belt will not stay tensioned for more then 2 weeks. replaced the motor, 2 capacitors and there is a vibration. sometimes
