I was hoping this would work since it is from the original lawn mower manufacturer, but the design has too many flaws. The front is held in place with a type of hook which has too much play in it. The front cover only covers the deck by roughly 1/4 inch and the back fastener is also only loosely holding the guard in place. I have roughly 1 acre of grass and if I uninstall and reinstall this before mowing to ensure it is clear of any clippings, I cannot complete the whole lawn without the mower packing grass into the bottom channel, lifting the guard and creating a chute at the front to blow grass and debris back at my leg. The only way I can see to make this work is to drill a hole through the guard and the deck and add a bolt. But then it is more of a permanent solution. Perhaps this should be redesigned with additional wingnut/bolt combinations to more solidly affix the guard.

Works like it should. Could fit a little better at the bottom at the deck lip.
