Healthy Digestion for Your Chickens

Without grit, your baby chickens' stomachs can't break down food sufficiently. This insoluble, granite-based feed supplement is specially designed to help newborn chicks digest their food properly.

Perfect for Baby Chickens

Using a special crumble grade (suitable for baby chickens), DuMOR Chick Grit will help your chickens break down their food easily so that they can grow up happy and healthy.

We Love Chickens and Know Just What Their Bodies Require

Who better to make food for pets than farmers? At Tractor Supply Company, we bring our deep passion for land and animals to the center of our products and services. By sourcing the best local produce, utilizing superior water purification processes and thoroughly testing our formulas, we guarantee excellent quality food for your chickens.

Feeding Directions:

Provide DuMOR Chick Grit to young birds beginning at two weeks of age. Monitor intake of Chick Grit for the first few days. If consumption is excessive and causes a reduction of feed intake, limit access to Chick Grit. Chick Grit is also suitable for adult poultry and fowl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gave to new chicks All the breeders I’ve researched said to give grit to young chicks to improve digestion. I did and the chicks are doing great. Not sure if completely necessary but certainly didn’t cause ill effects and gave piece of mind

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good grit Good grit for baby birds. I sprinkled a little on their feed right from the start.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's fine one bag is enough for a few chicks to last you until you need to change the grit. I would say 20 chicks is pushing it but you probably could make it.

Should I feed this with the starter crumbles or by itself?

    Asked by: Chicky22
Yes, feed Chick Grit alongside, but separate from Chick Starter. It’s generally best to not mix them. Be careful to watch Chick Grit intake to assure it is not excessive. If this happens, take the Chick Grit away.
