a year ago- A: Please refer to the Feeding and Maintenance guide on the product page as a reference.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Is the granite washed or does it contain calcium? Thank you.
a year ago- A: Please Contact Customer Service at 800-690-9908 to better assist you.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Do i add this directly to there feed
3 years ago- A: We recommend giving the grit free choice. Sprinkle grit in dish once a day. Watch to make sure no one chick is eating too much grit.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: Just took pictures of the grit bag & contents. Definitely should not be whole corn in it. Someone please email me about this. I’m afraid there may be a problem at the plant.
4 years ago- A: Please contact Customer Service at (888) 376-9601 available Monday-Friday 8am-8pm (EST), Saturday 8am-5pm (EST), so we can better assist you.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: I know some granite has lead, Is there a (SDS) safety data sheet available for the granite that is being used?
4 years ago- A: No, we do not have SDS sheet on the product.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: can this be given to organic chickens and keep them organic
4 years ago- A: The Grit is not certified organic, thus it would not be approved for use in a certified organic program4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this a proper size for small silkie chickens? Is it a chocking hazard for them? Can I crush the grit more if they are too large?
5 years ago- A: For a chicken of that size we would recommend going with the chick grit versus the regular grit. Same product but it has already been broken down into smaller pieces.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: What is this made out of? Does it have oyster shell in it? Does it have limestone in it?
5 years ago- A: Yes. It is oyster shell although I am happy with regular grit. It is all just calcium carbonate and does the job of giving the birds a way to grind down scratch feed5 years agoHelpful?
Q: If I am feeding oyster shell, should I also feed grit?
5 years ago- A: No, shells are fine alone,if you allow them to free range for more then 2 hours daily I wouldn't worry about either products. Grit and shells just give you're chicken an item to ground their food down, and good ole rocks can do just the same.5 years agoHelpful?
