I have had this trimmer less than a year. I use it maybe a moderate amount. I have had to replace the head because it broke. It was never used in a unreasonable manner. Research proved that this is a problem with Dewalt trimmer heads. Now the battery will only charge to one bar. I have only used the original charger. I did buy additional batteries from Dewalt, they were trash. I did my research and thought Dewalt was a good brand. Never again. I'm going to upgrade to a 60v and probably go with greenworks. I will never buy another Dewalt.

This string trimmer is awesome. I just bought a house and this thing is awesome for everything I need. I love the folding action. It is quick and easy to pack up and store until next use. The selectable 13 or 15” cutting pattern makes quick work of my smaller sized yard. Excellent battery life (near an hour on a full charge) gives me plenty of run time to trim my whole property. Highly recommend.

Overall great, small tweaks would make it perfect

It took me a little while to test it because we have a weekend of snow followed by a weekend of pouring rain. But I finally got to break it out of the box and I really couldn't be more pleased. Compared to my old Trimmer this one is so light and easy to set up. Of course being cordless is a must these days but its nice that the weight is finally coming down as well. It would be nice if it folded more compact with the battery on like it does with the battery off but that's not a big deal for me since I'm OCD with charging batteries anyway. My only real complaint is that it didn't always feed the wire. That's a pretty common thing and I don't expect it to be perfect. It is better than my old one but I did notice I had to give it a few more bumps than I would think for a brand new trimmer. That's being nit picky though because otherwise it functioned perfectly. I would happily recommend this trimmer to anyone with the DeWalt platform.
