Powerful Workhorse!

First Rate machine! Powerful enough for the first heavy, wet snow this season. Skids allowed adequate clearance for gravel. My rural property took three hours to clear in the past, half that time with this machine. Controls operated smoothly with heavy gloved hands. Great chute rotation and range. The bright, three light configuration eliminates shadows cast by my old units, although the LEDs don't generate any snow melting heat (a very minor issue). Balked at the advertised "power steering " feature while researching, but it was a nice touch. Disengaging power to one wheel was a fingertip touch, and saved some muscle strain! Darn near a zero turn radius. Speed ratio took a little time to get used to; at "3" or higher had to "jog" to keep up! Reverse was a bit slower than I would have liked, but on the upside I didn't backup over myself with this heavy workhorse. I liked the old school crank to rotate the discharge chute. More responsive than the "joystick" control of previous units that were sluggish and had trigger complications and failures. Heated grips were nice, but underwhelming. I wish there was a molded hole for spare shear pin storage in the operator panel. This was a good choice for my rural Minnesota needs.

Worst snow blower ever

My father in law bought 2 of these last year, ran one time each. ONE TIME! Did everything for storage recommended. Neither would start the following year. Called Cub Cadet, worst customer service. They blamed us even though we did step by step what the manual suggested. DO NOT BUY Cub Cadet!!

Good performance, poor battery is an annoyance.

Does a good job clearing snow and EFI is great when the battery is good. But the battery needs frequent charging year round or it dies In 3 years I've replace the battery twice. It's not convenient nor always possible to charge the battery monthly. Cub cadet should come up with a more reliable battery solution. I wouldn't recommend to a friend until the battery issue us addressed.

I've hade this snowblower since 2022, and live in the northeast, in general it's been a good machine, very powerful, but it does seem a bit hard on shear pins. I also wish it had a better way to control the walking speed, I have a hilly driveway and it would be nice if I could slow it down further when going down hill.

EFI is great - but keep the battery charged!

I have had this unit for 3 years now. When I purchased it, the dealer told me to make sure the battery is charged at the start of the season, and with regular use, it will stay charged. That is definitely not the case. If I don't keep it on the charger when not in use, the battery will drain. When that happens, the blower will not run until I recharge the battery. So - as long as the battery is kept charged, it works great! I am in the heart of the snow belt in Ohio, and it tackles the lake effect snow like a champ!

I bought this snowblower this fall cause all the good reviews. boy was that a mistake. This machine is completely underpowered can't throw snow more than about 10 feet And that's being generous. my 27 inch 25 year old airens did a way better job way faster and with much less struggle. This machine is JUNK I can't wait to sell it this spring. Im so glad we did not get a lot of snow this year or I probably would have blown it up by now. Like for real This machine CANNOT HANDLE heavy wet snow at all !!!!!!!!!!!! I will say that the lighting is very effective and it starts well but that's where the goosd parts end. I own several Cub Cadet implements. I can't say enough good about my lawn mowers. Maybe they should just stick to those.
