Excellent product. Blade holds sharpness, marlin spike is very useful and locking mechanisms are essential. Highly recommended.

Unique!

A unique, handsome, distinct knife. The marlinspike gets more use than I expected, even though I'm not a sailor. Easily made my EDC rotation.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Problem with the Camillus Marlin Spike knife

I just bought my 4th of these knives in the past 2 years. I race on a Flying Tiger 10 meter and do ocean passages on other sailboats. Every boat I'm on, the skipper and other crew borrow my Camillus knife all the time. I just gave away my 3rd when leaving Galapagos. A crew member wanted it. The skipper already had my 2nd. So I had to buy another. The knife just works for everything from breaking a knot to opening a shackle if it has a hole to get the marlin spike in. I think some of my knives hold a better edge. But nothing I own handles the corrosive sea water as well. I just wish I could keep one long enough to address longevity or possibly claim the lifetime warranty.

Yes, I recommend this product.
