Q&As

Q: Can this be used on pond banks

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! No, Brushtox Brush Killer is not safe for use on pond banks because it is highly toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. This specific formula contains petroleum distillates that can create a film on the water and leach into the ecosystem, potentially causing long-term harm to aquatic life.

Q: Can this be used on creeping Charley in lawns

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, Brushtox Brush Killer with Triclopyr can be used to control creeping Charlie in lawns, as its active ingredient, triclopyr, is one of the most effective chemicals for this specific weed. Q: Will this product kill babies of a sabal palm tree. If so, how many oz of product to per gallon of water? Thanks

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. Brushtox (triclopyr) can injure or suppress young sabal palms, but results are often partial and may require follow-up or alternative methods. We recommend referring to the user manual for mixing instructions. Q: How much in a 15 gal tank for kudzu

1 Answer
  • A: This is applied based on coverage an not per gallon. What that means is you need to know how much area you intend to cover with the water you intend to spray. You can use up to 3 quarts of chemical per acre--you will need to put that in whatever amount of water it takes for your equipment to apply it.

Q: how much will this container make if targeting Poison Oak?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, Thanks for the question. The mixing directs are not different based on the type of plant your wanting to target, its more so based on how you want to apply it. See below- For spot applications of triclopyr with a hand pump sprayer mix 3.2oz of Triclopyr per gallon of adjuvant. For larger brush, mix 6.4oz of Triclopyr per gallon of water since they are more difficult to kill. For additional product support, please contact the manufacture. (888) 386-5565

Kills Kudzu

Kudzu was starting to take over my driveway. Igot this a couple of weeks ago and the Kudzu is now dead. I mixed it in a gallon sprayer with water and a quart of mineral oil, then sprayed all the kudzu within reach if my sprayer. It rained that night and I was worried it wouldn't work. Yet the next day the leaves were drooping, and within a week they were yellowing. Its been two weeks and the vines are also brown and yellowing. I don't know if it will kill it to the root, or how quick it will come back, but I will pull the dead down and spray again.

Need better instructions for small spray container

I haven’t used the product yet because I can’t find on the instructions how much to use for 1gal or 2 gal spray container. The instructions are like for large containers where fields would be sprayed. I may need to return the product

Mix w Diesel to work. Bottle meh

Tried mixing with water. Did not work. Mixed with diesel and it works great for both stump kill and youpon cut stumps and grape vines. Unfortunately, the bottle leaks once opened so don't tip it over. Wish the bottle were better; thus the 4 stars instead of 5. Also, the instructions of mixing with water is IMO worthless. Only mix with diesel.
