Item Information

Pramitol active ingredient (Prometon 25%). Pramitol is a bare ground herbicide that has been widely used by industrial and commercial applicators. If the area to be treated has been overgrown it is recommended that you use a product like Roundup to treat the area first. This will help the Pramitol reach the soil and control weeds and grasses for a longer period of time. Pramitol can be used around buildings, storage areas, fences, recreational areas, fuel tanks, roadways, guardrails, airports, highway medians, pipelines, railroads, lumberyards, right-of-ways, and other similar areas. Pramitol controls many weeds for a extended period of time including johnson grass. Please refer to the label for specific uses and rates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best to keep BARE GROUND! Our #1 herbicide. Pramitol works through the roots while Roundup works through the leaves. Totally different types of weed killers. Pramitol keeps it clean for at least a year when mixed on the heavier dose. It will run a few inches if carried by rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff I had used this on my gravel parking lot and it is awesome! It says to mix 8oz per gal. but I did 16oz. per gal. total of 200 gallons, I sprayed it in fall the day before it rained hard. And the end result for 5 acre parking is 99% weed free in spring. This is in Oregon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of time and Money Not Impressed with this product at all. Sprayed my driveway and a side lot 4 weeks ago and the weeds are coming back. I would not recommend this product, just as well buy a cheaper round up and you will get the same results. This was a complete waste of time and money... Note i went 8oz per gallon which was plenty strong

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Effective I have used this product for several years now. Not only does it kill the weeds but the extended formula (that's what the "E" means) prevents weed return usually for the whole season. I have had instances where very heavy rain seemed to leach it out of the soil and weeds returned sooner than expected but this is uncommon. I use a 65 gallon boom sprayer with a 20:1 ratio. Some tough weeds may need a little more put not usually. The coverage shown on this web sight is WAY WRONG. One gallon covers 10,000 square feet as shown on the container label. This product is not the same as "Round-Up" type herbicides. I works much longer. I will continue using this product for years to come.

What time of the year is it best to apply this product

Asked by: Garld80
The effectiveness of this product is dependent on rainfall to move it into the root zone. Very dry soil and lack of sufficient rainfall may result in poor weed control, so we recommend applying this product when you know rainfall will be abundant.

Will it work grass spurs that are in my yard here in Texas

Asked by: Cranesarge
Pramitol is a soil sterilant and will kill the grass. We do not recommend using this in the yard.

What would the mixing ratio be to mix a solution with one gallon of water. I'm just spraying a fence line, only grass. I have used the Barrier product in the past using 6 ounces to one gallon of water.

Asked by: BDKW
5-6 oz per gallon is a great mixture.

What ratio should I use in parking lots with no vegetation around to permanently rid of weeds ?

The Pramitol needs to be mixed at the rate of 8 ounces per each gallon of water at the lowest dilution and can be used up to 32 ounces per gallon for harder to kill brush.

Can this product be used on gravel or crush and run driveways and parking areas

Asked by: SilentFarmer
A common use of Pramitol is to control weeds and other vegetation under driveways and parking lots. Pramitol is not recommended for use in residential areas. It is non selective meaning it will kill all vegetation, therefore caution should be used during application as some leaching in the soil could occur and destroy nearby desirable vegetation and turfs.
