Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the Ticket! Incredible product ... I needed something to control my Canadian Aspen (Big-Tooth Aspen; similar to Quaking Aspen) ... the suckers (roots) had spread throughout my entire lawn over the years and I needed a product that had the active ingredient in Brushtox. Worked like a charm ... I'll need to retreat in the spring with new growth, but this destroys the emergent suckers which then goes back into the root system for ultimate control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent woody vine brush killer!!!! This is the second time buying this product. I should have bought a larger bottle. This has killed every vine shoot from my neighbors hysteria vine that has invaded my property. It has even killed the stump!!!! I'm buying more to kill kudzu coming from my neighbors property. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Ragan & Massey, Inc. Make EXCELLENT PRODUCTS. Their RM43 all purpose vegetation killer is excellent also. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!

i have sweet gum trees that line a roadway, i am about to cut them but i know they come back. so I would like to spray with them now in oct. what is the best way to do it, spray now cut later, or cut now and spray after. and what is the best formula

Asked by: n2186q
BrushTox will do it. There are several ways in our label. If they are small tree I would kill them first using the basal bark spray method outlined in the instructions. If they are large trees I would cut them and apply the BrushTox according to the instructions in the label for "cut stumps". In both cases use one part BrushTox to 3-5 parts diesel or kerosene.

What ratio is used for mixing with water for sprayers

Asked by: Deborah 65
Well it depends on how you are going to use it. If you are just going to broadcast spray it you can use up to 3 quarts per acre so you simply need to figure out how big the area is you are going to spray and use whatever amount of water it takes for your sprayer to cover that area. When I use it for broadcasting on a small area with a small sprayer I mix 2 ounces in one gallon of water and spray that over 1000 square feet. I always make sure to put it all over the area so that the right amount of chemical is sprayed. If you spraying individual brush plants I use the basal bark treatment method-spray only the bark on the trunk below the lowest limb. When I do this I mix one part BrushTox to 4 parts water or diesel.

Using the basal bark treatment method, what is the recommended ratio of Brushtox to kerosene to kill Tree of Heaven? The trees vary from 1" dbh to 14" dbh. Are different ratios recommended for the larger diameter trees versus the smaller ones.

Will this kill Chinese Privet

Asked by: dj1113
Yes it will. I use the basal bark treatment method on privet so I don't have to spray the tops. I mix it 4 parts diesel to 1 part Brushtox and spray the bark at the base of the bush below the lowest limb. It works faster if you spray it all the way around the trunk.

Do you have to use diesel to apply this product? The sprayer I have does not recommend petroleum products to be used in sprayer.

Asked by: Swh38
