I just reads that cedar chips are bad for chickens. I have them in my coop and 2 more bags of this stuff. In a dry environment, it can worsen respiratory problems for both chickens and humans. ❌ Toxic to Some Animals: Cedar can be toxic to small animals and birds due to its oils and dust. I love this product and use it for weed and critter control in my flower gardens. 4"-6" deep and it lasts 3-4 years. I love the smell too.

We love these shavings for our goat pens to help keep down the ammonia smell. The cedar is a natural big deterrent as well.
