I have read all the previous reviews and feel like they are talking about another product. I have used shavings from other companies for my horses, donkey and goats over the past 14 years and these are just as good as any. I don't find them overly dusty, overly fine, and I don't find a large amount of wood chunks in them either. I do however have a couple of complaints regarding the size of the bag versus others - they seem to run a little smaller so I have to buy more. I would also like to see them come in paper bags which is more environmentally friendly than the plastic ones. I have also noticed that the price listed here on line is cheaper than what I find in our local store. Wondering if they will honor the online price if I say something?

Like a box of chocolates. You never know what you'll get. I bought 15 bags in the spring. The bags were PACKED full, weighing in at 30 pounds. I was pleased with the coverage, although the absorbency isn't great. I know moisture content will vary the weight, but these were packed tight like the photo they show on the web page. How can it be the same amount of shavings and not take up the same amount of space? Yesterday I bought 6 more bags at the same TSC. The bags weren't completely full and you could compress them down another 6 inches from the top. They weighed 15 pounds, but the price was up 10% from the spring purchase. Their supplier apparently has NO quality control.
