Our Norwesco Water Storage Tanks are manufactured using resins that meet FDA specifications to ensure safe storage of potable water. The dark color limits light penetration, which reduces the growth of water-borne algae. These large water storage tanks are rated at 9.2 lb. per gal., which means that they are for water storage only and should not be used for chemicals, fertilizers or any other product. They are designed to last thanks to their corrosion-resistant polyethylene construction.

Off-the-grid water supply

Easy to set up to collect rainwater from roof, which is what we do. We are off the water grid, and didn't want to pay for a well/have to use electricity to pump from a well. Live in an area that is very hard to dig deep enough for underground cistern. We purify the rainwater that we drink with a Berkey, and painted the outside of the tanks (we have 2) white to keep the water from evaporating.

Leaks at bottom outpour fitting

It seems fine enough but the outpour hole fitting leaks bcz it's just screwed on apparently with no tape or joint seal. Only found out after it was filled with water.

Hello. It's a great quality we have had it going on 3 years. Never had a problem with it 2500 GL. But I do have a question. Can we use something to get rid of a tast that is in the water?. Like a treatment.? Would if affect the tank? What do ya'll recommend? Thank you
