This Water Source Well Point Drive Cap protects points and drive pipe threads while driving a well point into the ground. A small vent hole in the top of the casting relieves pressure during driving operations and can be used as a guide for a driving tool. The well drive cap is constructed of cast iron.

  • Protects well point and drive pipe threads while driving a well point into the ground
  • A small vent hole in the top of the well point drive cap relieves pressure during driving operations and can be used as a guide for a driving tool
  • For extra protection to the pipe threads, attach well drive cap to a 6 in. pipe nipple, and connect nipple to the well point or drive pipe using a drive coupling
  • Can be driven with a sledge hammer or post driver
  • Constructed from cast iron

Well Point Cap Failure

Don’t buy!  Failed immediately.  Ruined threads and a plumber rethreaded the pipe.  TC needs to drop this item.

If a company is going to carry products for a sand point well they should carry all the products. Not only did my local tractor supply not carry the pipe needed for a drive point well, even though they carried the sand point, but this cap broke after only driving one pipe.

Fails at its only job

A drive cap has one job: protect the end of a pipe while you drive it into the ground with a sledge hammer. This cap failed to do that job, and I had to cut it off the pipe and rethread the pipe before I had even driven a 3-foot length of pipe. If your going to have to cut the cap off and rethread the pipe anyway, you might as well save your money and just buy a regular pipe cap.
